Nancy handcrafts her unique spirited, textured silver jewelry designs in her streamside Saratoga Springs studio near the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains of upstate New York.   Nancy’s designs reflect influences from nature, commonplace objects, different cultures and times, various textures and colors as well as a sense of humor. She incorporates fine and sterling silver, high karat gold, copper, gemstones, pearls, found objects and glass in her pieces which are often accented with rich patinas.  Nancy has been making jewelry since 1993 and seeks to create versatile yet uncommon jewelry that will compliment the personal style of the wearer and become favorite pieces that are worn often.

Building on her background in traditional jewelry fabrication techniques, she has enjoyed experimenting with a wide variety of metal clay techniques since 2001. She takes advantage of the unique characteristics of pure silver metal clay which accepts textures readily, forms fluid curves and invites spontaneity during the design and construction processes.

Nancy has received awards for her jewelry at Colorscape Chenango and Art on the Mountain shows. She developed and continues to coordinate a summer time jewelry program for seriously ill children at the Double H Hole in the Woods Ranch, a camp founded by Paul Newman and Charles R. Wood. This entirely volunteer effort has been well received by the teen campers and has the full support of the PMC Guild and Rio Grande. Nancy was an invited presenter at the 2006 PMC Conference.
